Can you believe how behind I am at posting on this poor blog? I really can't believe I've let it get so out of hand! I am so crazy busy taking pictures that sneak peaks are not really an option right now. It's more important to get the edited pictures to my clients than spend my valuable time blogging. But I do want you to see what I have been up to so I will be posting snippets of sessions over the next while. I tallied up how far behind I am and can you guess how many sessions I need to post? 11. Yep, ELEVEN! I'm so far behind. I couldn't be more grateful to be busy, I just must apologize for the quiet on the blog ;).

Do you recognize these sweet faces? You should because I have been lucky enough to take their family pictures over the last few years. I have a special place in my heart for this sweet family, not just because Beau is my cousin, but because they are just great! Do you notice Stephanie's cute belly? You might have missed it but she was about to have twins when we took these pictures. I think she actually delivered only a few weeks after they were taken. I can't believe how great she looks so far along! So now this family has a little boy and girl that are not in these pictures but are represented by the pink and blue balloons... which I love!

Sophia ~ Newborn

I am so happy to be sharing another little one with you today.

Sweet Sophia came a bit early and also had a few complications which earned her a stay in the NICU for a bit so her first photo shoot had to be post poned just a bit. having a bit of an older baby can make for a challenging session because they get an opinion very early on and like to voice it! But this angel was a gem! She was so happy the whole time! The only thing she wouldn't do was sleep! She didn't want to miss one minute of her big moment in front of the camera so she was all eyes open!

I have to admit that I wasn't too upset about it because she is just so gorgeous with those beautiful eyes. Plus, in the moments that she was being fed and changed, I got to have some fun with her big sister. And boy did we have fun! She tried on all of my costumes I keep for pictures and she smiled and posed. It was great!

Then at the very end of the session Sophia zonked. Hard. We completely wore her out and she couldn't keep her eyes open for one. more. second. That's when we decided to try the sleepy poses. Loved meeting this family. Loved taking their pictures. And for some reason, completely love their pictures in black and white. Enjoy!

This post is a long time coming. I've told a lot of people I would post pictures of this beautiful dress but I have really kept them waiting. I'm sorry! Lovely Lindsey was keeping her dress a surprise for her hubbie-to-be and I didn't want to spoil it just in case he was sneaking looks on my blog. The wedding has now past and he was very pleasantly surprised and I was so happy to see their blissful faces on the big day.

Now I can share this beauty with all of you. I had such a hard time narrowing it down so you'll have to deal with this crazy amount of pictures. It's a feast for your eyes! Enjoy!

I just can't say enough how much I love this couple! LOVE THEM! So sweet and so happy. For Robyn's bridal session she wanted to have Tyson there, but he hadn't seen the dress so we decided to do a "First Look" moment so we could get his and her reaction to Tyson seeing her dress for the first time. It was really fun to watch these love birds see each other all dressed up in preparation for the big day!

We took the bridal pictures at the Manti Temple. I love this temple, it is a special temple for me because that is where I married my sweetheart and I jump at any chance I have to visit. It was so fun spending the morning with these two as they waited for their chance to enter this beautiful temple together.

It was an adventure for sure and so much fun. We got some gorgeous pictures. So happy to have been a part of it!

Robyn & Tyson - Engaged

Love this girl. Loving this guy the more I get to know him! These two are so cute together. So happy and in love. It was infectious just being around them. I had the best time! The only hard part was getting them to stop laughing! If you can call that hard;). So much fun!

Robyn and Tyson have known each other for a few years. They met in Cedar City and have been friends, just friends for awhile. Then last December something changed... Tyson kissed her and she realized she kinda liked him. From there things just kept getting more serious and here we are getting ready for the wedding.

Our day taking pictures was so much fun. They drove all the way from Richfield and were ready for a good time. And a good time was definitely had. The poses generally started out like this...

Laughing, and more laughing, and even more laughing.

They just looked at each other and smiled. I of course was oohing and awing, which made them laugh some more.

Then, they would calm and I would get these fabulous pictures like this...

I am seriously so happy for you two! This has been the most fun and it is just beginning!

I thought it was about time I shared some of the pictures that have been keeping me so busy over the last few weeks. I have been so busy and I couldn't be happier about it. I have gotten to know the best people and I've held the sweetest little ones... just like this little guy who is only 5 days old! Can you believe that? I was in heaven, to say the least. He was a complete angel. Hilary (his mom) told me that this is the normal routine, lots of sleep during the day and lots of awake time in the night. Gotta love newborns! And I really do, especially when I get to stare at their gorgeous pictures and don't have to wake up with them in the night! Ha!

Kaci & Cameron - Engagements

I met Kaci and Cameron downtown for their engagement session. I had talked to Kaci a number of times on the phone and was looking forward to putting a face to her happy voice. I was pleasantly surprised. She and Cameron were dressed so fun and they were ready to have a good time. And that's exactly what we had.

Kaci and Cam are high school sweethearts. I love hearing that. So cute and happy together. Ready to make this commitment to each other and look forward to the time they are going to share together. Seriously they are so cute. I hope you guys are ready for these pictures, cause this is just the beginning...

Brown Family

This session was a hard one to pull together. Stephanie warned me that it would be hard to find a time to get everyone together, but I was sure we could make something work. As the scheduling began I learned that she was right. Between everyone in an extended family and my crazy schedule, finding a day was proving to be hard.

She called me after being with them one day and said "Ok, we found a day. I hope it works for you because it is our last chance to get everyone together before my nephew leaves on his mission." Talk about pressure! But I was available! Sweet!

Then we had the unfortunate weather to convince to cooperate. Finding a place for a large group can be challenging, finding a place indoors can be even more so. The forecast wasn't good. But I told Stephanie to hold tight, because you never know what the hour will bring. It wasn't looking good. I didn't know what to do. I was talking to my mom the very day of our scheduled session and told her our dilemma. "Do you have any ideas?" She did! Why not just have them come to her house? Uh, duh! That was perfect! That way if the weather is bad, there are places that we can take them inside, and if it clears up we can take them in her beautiful yard! Sweet!

I called Stephanie and told her my plan, she was completely on board and we had a plan! As you can see the weather did clear up by the time of our session and we were able to be outside! Thank you weather. Wish you would clear up for my own personal benefit. I need more sunshine and less snow at the moment. So glad we were able to make this session work, it was so fun meeting this family!

I thought it might be fun to share another before and after. I took this at a wedding luncheon. This little girl is to die for cute! She found herself alone at the dessert table and just couldn't help herself. I just couldn't stop her. She finished off the cake and seemed pretty pleased with herself. Her mom wasn't too mad either. Who could be at this face?

Do you love watching this kid grow up as much as I do? SI am going out of order here, but I had to post these pictures. We took Sam to the Salt Lake Library and really had a great time. I was secretly worried that it was going to be too cold, but it turned out to be a pretty mild day. There is something special about the light at the Salt Lake Library. Sam seemed to glow in all of the pictures. I seriously love the light in these pictures. Sam just celebrated his 2nd birthday and he sure kept us on the run, as you can see. That is something I love about this age and we captured it perfectly. Lyndsay, these are for you. These are only a few of my favorites!

I can't tell you how much I LOVE this last picture. It is my favorite picture that I have taken in a long time. Seriously, I just stare at it and can't seem to look away.

When Shelby emailed me and asked if I could take pictures of her 7 month old twins I was so excited! Twins? 7 months old? Sweet! Twice the fun! And that it was! The weather kept us indoors with the backdrop, but I think it was meant to be. Max and Rylee were so great and the pictures are fab! I secretly think that Max had eyes for me! Or at least he let me think so! What a charmer. And Rylee is a princess in every form of the word, see for yourself...

This family is special. As they walked through the door I knew they were special. I felt privileged to have the opportunity to hear their story and be a part of it in a small way. Aren't they gorgeous? I usually prefer doing family portraits outdoors, but since they just had this little guy about 2 weeks before we took the pictures that was kind of out of the question. But I don't think it mattered in the slightest. They are so photogenic and the kids were amazing! I'm not even exagerating. I wish I had a video clip of our session, posing the family for the big picture. It was so quick and they all sat in their spots and smiled. I wish I had a way with my kids the way they had with theirs. So cool. Anyhoo... Here are some pictures of this fabulous family!

This family is super cute and super fun. With three kids ages 9 months, 2 and 3 it was a party! We had a fun time trying to get them all to look at the camera and smile at the same time. I thought they turned out so fun! We were supposed to do our pictures outside this day, but it was FREEZING cold and we knew the kids wouldn't last long, so we changed locations to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. So glad we did.

I hope all of you are enjoying this wonderful season. There is so much fun to be had! I have been having a lot of fun myself! So many pictures to share but not a lot of time to get them on the blog! I will be closing up the Sarah D shop today and be closed through the new year. I have been so busy this month I have barely had time to sleep! So, I will be catching up on all of that for the next week and a half. My family and I are packing up the car and heading to the lake. A week of snowmobiling, snowmen, and snowball fights. It sounds dreamy and I can't wait for the fun to begin!

This sweet little newborn was an angel. She was so happy and content. She didn't cry a peep. I love when they are so very little the fit in the crook of your arm. They mold to you and sleep or stare. My 10 month old feels like a giant after holding this little thing. I can't believe how quickly they grow. It is magical to get to be a part of this special time.

I love this family. Like, really love this family. Rachel is the BEST! I tell her that a lot and it is absolutely true. I have taken their pictures for a few years now and I look forward to it every year! This year was especially fun. Rachel wanted to do two seperate sessions, one indoor and one outdoor. The indoor session focused on the kids, mostly Tyce since he is getting so big, but it's hard to resist her other two cuties so I got a bunch of them too. The second session Rachel scouted out an apple orchard for some family portraits and it couldn't have been more perfect! I had a really hard time narrowing these down so I hope you don't mind the abundance of these pictures!

I love this time of year! I love the lights, goodies and decorations. I love the carols, candles and good cheer. It is magical. One of my all time favorite parts of the year is the exchange of Christmas Cards. I love checking my mailbox every day excited to see who sent us a card and well wishes. I love packaging and sending out my own warm fuzzies to those I love and care about most. That is what this holiday is about. Sending love and feeling it in return.

Here I am again, five weeks later. Has it really been that long? Obviously. I can't tell you how many days I wanted to be posting here, but I just couldn't manage to squeeze it into my day. This September has brought so many things, school (a first at our house), dance, cruise, photo sessions, play groups, doctors appointments, and the list goes on and on. But I am here now, so I hope you will overlook my absense and enjoy some pictures that I have been enjoying and the new location we tried out!

We had the BEST time taking pictures on this warm September morning. Well, at least I did. The wind really started to blow at the end, but I have to say I love Josies hair blowing in the wind, totally fashionista! Josie wanted a location that was a little different and I was dieing to try this one out. I am so happy she was willing to be my newbie here because they turned out great! I can't wait to go there again! Thanks guys for a great day and for more super cute pictures!

Ahhhh... This feels right. This feels like where I'm supposed to be. I know it's Saturday and there are a million things around my house that I should be getting done, but I don't want to. I want to be right here sharing the super cute kiddos with you.

My hubbie is currently outside with the princess and little buddy playing on the bikes and cleaning up the yard. I can hear them screaming and laughing. Having the best time. What a beautiful day it is.

Anyway... LOVED meeting this family! These kids are so completely cute! We had quite an adventure trying to set up an appointment. Reschedule #1 rain. Reschedule #2 sick kids. Reschedule #3 broken arm! Anyway, we finally got a day and it was perfect! So many fun pictures I had a hard time narrowing it down. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

This session was so fun and there were so many different dynamics to it that I had to split it up. Punky, here, she is gorgeous! We didn't start taking pictures of her solo until the end and I didn't want to stop! She is so completely photogenic and her eyes are to die for.

Wouldn't you agree?

She is so funny and lighthearted. So easy to be around, just like the rest of her sweet family. So happy and always smiling.

It was so hard to get her to be serious. She would try to pull a serious face and then would overflow with the giggles. That was completely contagious and we were all laughing. It was hard to hold still to take the picture. But I must say she is just as pretty when she is serious.

New faces...

This beautiful family added two new faces to their group on the day we did these photos. It was a busy day to say the least. The couple there with the sleeping little girl got married! It was so special, and while mom and dad had all of the family together they wanted to do family pictures as well. So the sweet newlyweds agreed to stick around for a few more pictures. It was a long day, if you can imagine, but totally worth it!

Three generations of goodness. I LOVE this family. I am probably required to say that as they are my family, but I am sure I would feel that way even if we weren't related. Completely laid back and relaxed. A go-with-the-flow kind of group. I am always at ease when they are around. Who wouldn't want that quality?

They're back!!!

And so am I! It has been awhile since I visited all of you here in photography blogland. I'm sorry to have left you for so long. This summer has been AWESOME! I have been so busy I don't even have time to sit down most days. My computer has stayed off for days at a time, which for me is crazy! I haven't even missed it to be honest. Spending time with my little ones, soaking up the sun, playing with friends. No complaints here. But I didn't want you to miss this super fun family I got to take pictures of this summer.

Isn't he the cutest thing? You have seen him before but you may not recognize him because he is getting so BIG! He turns 2 this month and I can't believe how quickly time flies. Love his little face!

Probably one of the cutest little guys around, his parents aren't too bad either!

Oh, Millie!

One of my besties had a baby a few weeks ago. This has been a highly anticipated event to say the least. I have been preparing for this little one's shoot for MONTHS and I am not exagerating! So many ideas and trying to figure out the right way to impliment them. Oooohhhh. It has been fun to scheme and dream with Anya about what we wanted for this session.

Well, I must say that I am soooooo happy with how it turned out! I purchased a new backdrop, as you can see, and I tried out a new light and I can't wait to do it again!

So,

Meet Millie

Isn't she gorgeous? I just can't get enough of her! She caused her little family some headaches before she even arrived. As they tried to prepare the house for Millie's arrival (brand new kitchen remodel), mom was taking care of big brother, working 3 to 4 nights a week at the hospital, and doing non-stress tests twice a week. I don't know how she made it through those last two months. Even more, I don't know how she passed those stress tests! But she did and Millie didn't come one minute before she was forced here.

I have to say it was well worth the wait...

How do you like my new white backdrop? Aren't the pictures so dreamy? I am LOVING it!

And how about this sweet big brother? I've got to say I think he is pretty handsome. What a cute family. I think he is going to be a great big brother. The protective type. Millie is so lucky to have him. I think he is going to take very good care of her.

Let's not forget the black backdrop. Those are just classic and beautiful.

Millie's grandma made her this quilt... isn't it to die for? We had to use it in the pictures. I LOVE the effect. Is there a better backdrop than a special blanket? I can't think of one.

This is a special effect I did with the white backdrop and the hanging baby. Oh, I think my mom about passed out as she watched us set up this picture and take the shots. Millie was a dream but my mom was sure she was going to fall somehow. Not even close! She did great and these have to be my favorite pictures from the session!

Love you, Anya, and I love Millie too. So happy to be able to do this for you! I can't wait to watch her grow and become the little person that she is. She will be wonderful, just like her mama

Sharon and I tried to schedule her family's pictures a couple of times before it actually happened! The weather was completely working against us no matter how much the weatherman told us it was going to be beautiful! Finally, we did manage to get quite a beautiful day so I guess it was worth the wait.

Meet the Gee Family.

Aren't the the cutest family? As they stepped out of the car I knew we were going to have fun, and I was right. They all had smiles on and I was quickly informed that Brooklyn and Libby were fabulous at getting their pictures taken (which was completely true) but that we were going to have some trouble with Gavin (which was only partially true, he was actaully pretty happy). I think the trouble came with holding still, but what 2 year old wants to sit and have their picture taken when there are all kinds of barn animals around to play with? I really can't blame him.

Isn't this family so sweet? They really are! I mean look at these two...

I always wanted a sister. Have I told you that before? It is completely true. One of those wishes that you have absolutely no control over. I love watching sisters interact. I think all sisters have some sort of special bond that us "others" won't ever understand. I find it fascinating. Special. I wish I had that. Luckily I do have a brother. Not quite the same, but pretty cool none the less.

And let's not forget Sharon and Randy. They are the creators of this sweet little family. And I have to say I think they have done a great job!

Isaac Turns ONE!

I can't tell you how happy I have been to photograph this little guys since he was a little newbie. LOVE HIM! It has been even more fun watching him grow and gain a little personality. He is one of my happiest little ones and I love hearing from his mommy when it is time to schedule his next session because his smile is too sweet.

I was trying to think of a time when he got upset or even fussy, and it just didn't happen. I think they feed him happy pills. I don't know where they get them, but I would LOVE some for my little rascals.

I mean, is he a poser, or what? I love it!

It feels like it has been a decade since I have had communicated with all of you out there in blogland. At least from here at my photo site. I hope you have missed me but that you haven't given up on me. I am still here! Lot's to share. Things around my house have been crazy. Lots of changes, lots of fun!

The time has finally come for me to share some pictures from some shoots that I have had over the last month. I have been having so much fun with such a variety of clients! This first one is a high school senior. Let me tell you a little bit about him...

Meet Jordie.

Jordie just graduated from Alta High School. His senior year was his golden year. He was the quarterback of the football team (until an unfortanate blow during a game that took him out with shoulder problems for a chunk of the season) But don't get the wrong idea, Jordie was patient and healed really fast and was able to finish out the season. He also was the captain of the basketball team. This kid does it all! I am completely impressed.

I have to admit that I may be a little biased as I have known Jordie since he was born (although technically I don't remember that day exactly). Our families have been friends since before either of us were born. That makes us friends for life. It just works like that. In case you didn't know.

Now Jordie is moving on to greener pastures. The pastures of College while he waits to go on a mission. As I was taking Jordie's pictures it was like I hadn't seen him in YEARS! Although truth be told I had just seen him a couple of weeks prior to the session. It was like I hadn't really looked at him because when I put that camera up to my face it was like I was looking at a MAN not my little bud Jordie. It was crazy. I am so happy for him for all that he has accomplished and all that lies ahead!

Do you remember this little girl? She has changed quite a bit in the last year! I took her pictures about a year ago. You can see them here.

She is one cutie patootie! She also just got a little brother! Isn't that exciting? Well, he is pretty cute too. Take a look for yourself...

Isn't he handsome? I love newborns. Have I told you that before? There is something so magical about capturing their little sweetness when they are only a few days old. A FEW DAYS OLD!!! Can you believe how cool that is to only be on this Earth for a few days? That is so cool. And they are so sweet! Trying to figure out a new way of eating, breathing, and being in a world that doesn't surround them in fluid. Weird. But so cool!

I love their smell. What is it about that new baby scent? I can't get enough of it! My baby is starting to lose it. And he is only a couple of months old! It isn't fair. That is one of the reasons I love taking pictures of other peoples newborns. I get to smell their babies.

And they smell oh, so good. And do you realize how very small they are? I always think I know they are small and then every time I see a new one I am surprised by how SMALL they really are! I mean, they can fit in the littlest places. That is a lot of fun... trying to see where we can place them to show you just how very small they are. Like this basket...

He is just swimming in there! That isn't a big basket either. Wow. I am always surprised. Then when I looked at my 2 month old in comparison to this 1 week old, I couldn't believe how large my guy was. They get big so fast! It is sad. So I sit and gush over these pictures

and remember what it was like to hold my baby and feel like he was a feather in my arms compared to the sack of flour I have now. Oh, the days. They keep getting more and more wonderful.

I remember when I had my second little one. My first little one was still quite little. She was only 16 months old. Little. We were taking pictures of the new little guy and of course we wanted one of the two littles together and that proved to be quite a feet. But we did get one. One. But I still treasure it. Well, we wanted to get one of Dax with his big sister too. I was a little nervous because it is hard to get a 2 year old to pose, but we got some. More than one! How lucky! Here is one to show you how very sweet they both are.

Oh, I love watching families grow. I love being able to capture them as they grow. It is so much fun for me to watch them grow. I have the best job!

Grandma Henderson

Back in December I was asked if I would do a "Grandma shoot" for a client. She planned to give her mother a shoot with her grandchildren for Christmas and I thought it was brilliant! Well, the time finally came for me to head over for the shoot and we had a blast!

These boys are a ball of fun and energy! I wish I could bottle just a small bit of it for myself! How do they do it? It made me happier just being around them.

Here is grandma and her four boys...

These boys just LOVE their grandma. But really, what kid doesn't? I know mine adore both of their grandma's. And their great grandma's too. What is the deal? Why don't they love me like that?

So handsome. I mean, really... look out ladies! When these fella's get together in a few short years they are going to rule the school!

Do you recognize this sweet face? He is a regular of mine and I love him! I love that when I pull out my camera he automatically smiles and poses for me. A true natural!

And how about this face... when I turned the camera on him he turned bashful. So sweet!

Now this guy... this little guy was fun! Talk about a happy kid! Just don't try and hold him down! He doesn't have time to stop and take pictures! He is a busy kid!

And did you know that spiderman occasionally visits the Henderson home? He does and it was an honor to be able to meet him! Check out his web squirting abilities... (or was this his baseball catcher pose?)

This is an honorary grandchild. This is Roxie. She is the toughest cookie of all to snap a photo of! She is fast! But I got her! And isn't she cute???

I just love this picture! Doesn't it just make you smile?

It's been awhile since I have posted any pictures of my little girl. She is 3 now and I can't believe it. Sometimes when I look at her I lose my train of thought and am just struck with how amazing she is. I just sit and stare. How lucky am I? I don't know, but I hope I can live to deserve her!

Glendale Middle School Multi-Cultural Event

Wow. This event was so cool.

When a friend of mine asked if I would be interested in photographing some students putting on a multi-cultural show I didn't even hesitate and said "YES! When should I be there?!"

I was really excited. I have done a few "special event" shoots before and this one sounded like so much fun! And it was! Every year a bunch of students from Glendale Middle School get to participate in a show put on for the rest of the students, faculty and their family. They do dances from all around the room complete with costumes and props. I had the best time and I couldn't believe I was being PAID to be there! I wish I would have brought my kids along because they would have loved it!

I wish I could show you all of the pictures from the show, but that's not really an option. Picture OVERLOAD! So here are some to give you a small taste...

They had the most fun setup to decorate the stage.

They also involved some kids from the elementary school next door and they did great!

These guys did an indian dance and it was amazing. I think their costumes were crazy cool!

Oh, to be 14 and dancing with the boys! It was like memory lane!

It was a fun night and the kids did awesome! What a fun tradition for their school to have!

I had the opportunity to create a bridal shower invitation and had the BEST time bringing it to life! The theme of the shower is more vintage flowers and pink... pink... pink! I was so happy with how it turned out that I thought I would share it with all of you.

I have had such a great time designing cards, announcements, and now this invite that a part of me wants to totally go in that direction! I love creating! But then I remeber how much I LOVE taking pictures and I just couldn't give that up. SO... designing is going to stay in the backseat. But I will admit, I will jump at these kinds of chances to design! It was too much fun!

Emily emailed me to set up a date to take pictures of her two little girls a while back. I was so excited, but super busy so we had to schedule it out a bit. The date of the shoot was fast approaching and I recieved a call from Emily saying her two little girls had been sick and she needed to reschedule. I totally understood. Ughh. Who likes to have their kids sick? No fun at all. So after talking a bit about tentative dates she decided she wanted to wait until her little one to arrive (she was expecting). I agreed and told her to call me when he arrived and we would schedule then.

We must have been on the same wave here because I got an email from her just a few days after I had my little bundle saying she was ready to schedule the shoot! I couldn't refuse her! Babies need to have their pictures done very fast after they are born if you can and after all of our other reschedules, I wanted to do these pictures! So we set a date and got them done!

This is a family after my own heart... as I mentioned above. Let me tell you a little about their set up. Emily has 2 little girls and 1 little baby boy. Her oldest girl turns 3 this month... that's right. She has 3 under 3! I LOVE this about her? Who else out there is as crazy as me? I, two have 3 very little ones, my oldest is not quite 3 1/2, so I have a little more time on her, but it can't make that much of a difference. The one thing I can say is that Emily totally has it pulled together! I, on the other hand, often don't. She was handling the three with ease. She made it look so easy, anyone would want to do it her way! I was glad I did, but wished I could pull it off like she does!

This little guy is so freakin' cute, I can't stand it! I have been dragging my feet a little about having our little bundle join the world, but when I was with this handsome little man I couldn't help but get excited! He was awesome! Baby news & Scheduling Update

Yesterday Steve and I received some rather shocking information about the little man that we are getting ready to welcome into our family...

He is coming on the first week of February!

This is a full week earlier than I had thought even possible as my due date is the 15th. I can't tell you what a pinch this has put on our time left. I still have mountains of things that I need to get done before this little guy gets here and my time just got cut a week short. We'll make it work! I have to say that I am super excited to see this little guy so all the rescheduling will have to work!

This brings me to the reason for this post... I will not be taking any appointments for the month of February. I will be happy to schedule anything for March and will take those appointments as you call.

I love this family. Not only because they are extremely photogenic, but because they are my great friends! I was so excited when Chris asked me to photograph her family while everyone was in town for Christmas. I got to see everyone that I usually only hear about.

Beckham ~ 9 months

I promised a longer, more fun post of our Beckham's 9 month shoot, and now I am delivering! You all have been lucky to watch this guy grow. His mom has been faithful at capturing his first year and I have had so much fun being involved!

Josie had a fun idea for this shoot. We have done the on-location thing a couple of times and she did the black backdrop thing when he was born, so she wanted something a little different. She decided that she wanted some really nice pictures of Beck's everyday experiences. So I packed up my camera and headed to her mom's house for a day in the life of Beck. (well, an hour, but we packed a TON in that hour!) Here is what we did...

Beck eating smashed banana's. I have to tell you that he is the cutest eater I have ever seen! He has a way with that tongue that is absolutely hilarious! I wish I had a video camera for the eating part!

Then, after the mess we made with lunch, we took a bath! He LOVES the bath!

We had so much fun capturing Beck's everyday stuff. So much fun, in fact, that I am going to recommend this kind of a shoot for every 9 month shoot I do. It is the way to go! Thanks, Jo, for coming up with such a fun idea!

Happy Holidays to all!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and is getting ready to enjoy the week before New Years. I know we are!

We are loading the car with all of our new toys and warm clothes and heading north. I can't wait to spend some quality time with my family far from cell phones and computers!

This family is great! So sweet and easy going. They really were up for anything. I am loving this older kids thing, they are much easier to pose than the little kiddos, and they have all the right moves! You'll see what I mean. With all of the different ways we have now of communicating with the world around us and the people in it, I have found many lost friends out there in cyberland. It has been a special treat to reconnect to friends I haven't talked to for years. Well, a couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet up with one of these special connections and take her family's pictures. It was such a treat to see the woman she has become and the little family she and her cute husband have created together.
